From Street-Level Hero
to Near-Goddess
Before heading to Druspa Tau, Dove is already super-agile, with leaping, sensing, and dodging powers even Spider-Man might admire, and her cleverness allows her to rout larger enemies that might otherwise overpower her. Combine that with her steadfast serenity, intelligence, and quiet assurance in even the most heated of battles, and you have quite a superheroine!
 | After being in Druspa Tau, however, Dove's street-level superhero powers take on a mystical glow--literally! She can now fly and carry others (which usually means Hawk when he's gotten into a bigger fight than he can handle alone). Plus, her powers of perception are now nearly psychic, predicting much farther into the future than before. Dove also gains an additional costume, which she sports only in Druspa Tau--a bodysuit of gleaming white and gold, seen at left. |
| During events in Druspa Tau and afterwards, Dove is much more assured and confident in her abilities. This isn't arrogance or bravado (like Hawk); this is simply Dove KNOWING she can handle whatever comes her way. "No storm can shake her inmost calm," indeed! Yet her humility remains, because she knows that her strength as Dove is balanced by her weakness in her normal human form. She isn't truly a goddess, and she knows that, but she can use the powers she does have to help others around her. | |
